I can say that it all went about as smoothly as it could. Sure, I got busted for the 500 ml of water I was packin', but I got to see the underbelly of the TSA operations. Sure, we got there four hours early, but we got in 10,000 steps and some entertaining wall push-ups. Sure, we learned that Lufthansa boards their groups a little differently (Groups 3-6 all at once), but our $0-for-non-advance-seat-selection seats were still empty. Sure, the flight was long, but, you know, free wine and a halfway decent beef stew. All good. 'Wonderful' would be too much, but 'good' is good enough.
